We are seeking a dynamic Sales and Business Development Director to join our North America team. This role will be responsible for driving sales growth of Netmore network services technologies, with a strong focus on Utility AMI water services enablement. This individual will develop strategic partnerships with leading water meter OEM organizations, engineering consultants, network ecosystem players, and municipal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development
· Develop and implement a comprehensive Netmore network solutions sales strategy focused on developing partnering relationships with OEM meter manufactures in the Americas, around the collaborative pursuit of Utility AMI systems and associated smart services modernization projects.
· Identify, qualify, and pursue new Netmore network deployment opportunities in the water utility sector with a focus on AMI services procurement initiatives.
· Conduct Netmore product presentations, demonstrations, and ROI/value proposition discussions with OEM partners, utility leadership, and consulting engineers.
· Lead the proposal process, respond to RFPs, and collaborate on contracts with legal, operations, and technical teams to support attainment of AMI services growth objectives.
Strategic Relationship Building
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with OEM water meter executive leadership, sales, distribution, operations and R&D staff, consulting engineers, and smart services ecosystem players.
· Position Netmore as a leading provider of integrated AMI networking services.
· Actively participate in key water industry associations to represent the company and support broader adoption of Netmore services.
Technical Expertise and Market Knowledge
· Maintain extensive knowledge of AMI platforms, communication networks, meter technologies, and their application in diverse municipal environments.
· Provide competitive intelligence and market feedback to product, marketing, and engineering teams to support roadmap decisions and continuous improvement in the Netmore services portfolio.
· Track competitor offerings in the AMI space and identify differentiation strategies based on performance, integration, and customer outcomes.
Collaboration and Reporting
· Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, opportunity forecasting, and customer relationship records using CRM tools.
· Deliver detailed reports and dashboards on sales performance, bid activity, and technology trends.
Required Qualifications:
· 5+ years of sales or business development experience in the water, utilities, or infrastructure sector.
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
· Established relationships within the water, metering, or water technology ecosystem, including OEM meter manufacturers, consultants, and utility partners.
· Proven success in selling smart metering and AMI solutions to municipalities.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
· Willingness to travel nationally.
