Job Description:
The RF Planning Analyst is responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization to ensure efficient communication, coverage, and scalability of Brazil LoRaWAN network expansions. This role involves assessing deployment scenarios, conducting propagation studies, and contributing to the architecture of IoT networks powered by LoRa technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and plan LoRaWAN network coverage to ensure optimal connectivity for IoT devices in various environments.
- Conduct coverage studies, propagation simulations, and network coexistence analyses.
- Analyze site survey data and geographical information to determine the best locations for gateway deployment.
- Utilize RF planning and simulation tools to model network performance and predict coverage.
- Perform link budget calculations and interference analysis to optimize network performance and minimize signal degradation.
- Collaborate with IoT development, hardware, and operations teams to integrate network solutions into overall system architecture.
- Generate technical documentation, including network design plans, reporting on coverage studies, and performance analyses.
- Elaborate frequency analysis, planning, and optimizing private network management for customers from various sectors, including governments, and private companies.
- Ensure technical validation of projects and provide support to Netmore customers.
- Stay current with LoRaWAN specifications, industry trends, and technologies to enhance planning methodologies.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in RF planning, ideally within IoT or LoRaWAN networks and using radio planning software preferred.
- Proficiency with RF planning software and tools but also in wave propagation concepts, modulation technique, and RF simulation tools (ATOLL / CLOUD RF / QGIS / ARCGIS). Knowledge of radiocommunication standards is an asset. (experience with LoRaWAN-specific tools is a plus).
- Strong understanding of LoRaWAN protocol, RF propagation principles, and wireless communication technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Advanced English.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with IoT ecosystems, devices, and data management platforms.
- Experience in project management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, excellent communication skills, presentation, analytical mind and rigor.
